Does anybody have an idea if SK7 will be released anytime soon?

Since WindowBlinds 7 Beta came out not too long ago, my question if or when will Skinstudio 7 come out?  Even a beta would be nice; but because WB7 beta is focusing primarily on compatibility with Windows 7, I don't see a reason why they would come out with a beta for SK7 just yet.  And if SK7 comes out soon, like in a few months or something, what would the new UI look like? And what improvements would be made from SK6?  I'd like to know because I want to take skinning to the next level!

Why would you need SKS7 to take skinning to the next level?

I am not trying to bust yer nuts , it's just that SKS is just a tool to assist in putting a skin together. It isn't required. If you want to take skinning to the next level then try understanding how a skin works and how it can be manipulated. If you don't understand that, you have no chance of taking skinning to next level...whatever that is supposed to mean.

SKS7 will have an interfafce that will allow you to easily apply Windows7 graphics to a skin, but I have to agree with NT, the art of skinning isn't in the tools.  It's in your mind.

Master SKS 6 first.

I think you have that already done.  With numerous of impressive skins available for XP and Vista.  I would be happy to see those skins available for Win7 in the near future

Ok guys - just to let you know... the program is being worked on and the code does appear to be a bit different. But from what I hear they are using sks6 to build the code. Just like the other times when it was xp to vista and ie6 to ie7 and so forth.

Sure I've seen a few bugs as one may call it in the WB7 beta. What else is new ... it is a beta and they are looking to get it right.

Lets kind of go back a bit to Vista when it first came out and we wanted it as such. Well I remember having to do those little tricks as most skinners called it back then to get things to work like we wanted. Doing all those edits for text in ui files as such. Then the devs finally got all that good stuff written the way it needed to be for all of everything to work. Wow it was great! Now we got the program and all that stuff we had been doing to make it work like we wanted changed again. At one point I got so lost with it I stopped for a while. Then I just started over again and figured it back out like I did with all those little tricks again and again. It worked and made it easy.

Be patient... these things take time. Those guys at Stardock are working very hard to get this one going as soon as possible. Plus even when it is out of a beta to a final release... it always gets a bit of a further change again to add more good stuff for this and that. Programs as this are not easy to just pump out in a few weeks or even months and be right on target. Plus there is still stuff not even done yet for Vista. But they know Win7 is now the target and it will be hit soon.

Well, I did not see a bug report thread for SKS 7, so I guess I will report it here.  When editing in Vista, and working in the Colours section, when you click the Edit Vista Part Colours button, nothing works.
